1) Ricardo: A Spanish/Portuguese word that is derived from the old German word Richard. The meaning of the name Ricardo is Brave Ruler. The origin of the name Ricardo is Spanish.

I enjoy my name Ricardo because I don't meet many people that have it. The name was given to me because it's my father's name as well. If God grants me a child that is a male, I will  name him Ricardo as well. Tradition.

2)I think one of my "sacred centers" would be the rising of the sun and a new day, but also the sunset and the end of a day. We are granted a new beginning everyday we wake up. We must learn from today and look forward to the next day in order to make progress.

"To feel the power of a symbol is to enter a world of make-believe" (Stevens, 76).

"In theory, war could be waged and animals could be hunted without the use of weapons, but in practice it is unlikely that they ever have been"(Stevens, 284).

"Rites of initiation, therefore are culturally evolved means of facilitating the primary imperative built into the Self for incarnation in the phenomenal world- that is to say to be actualized in consciousness,  in personality, and in action or behavior" (Stevens, 217).

Vacation Dream

The dream last night was intense and vivid. I was speaking Portuguese and my friend was speaking Italian. We were traveling all over Europe because both had finally finished undergraduate school. Although I like to go traveling, I haven't traveled lately, and I haven't found anyone to go with. For now, I'm just going to keep dreaming.
